The technology is less interesting than the stories.
We use technology as a stage to tell stories that would otherwise be untellable.

|  The Project  |

Les Plus Belles Lunettes du Monde has its own world. ConceptSL accepted the chalenge to reproduce the unique ambiance of the Boutique Parisienne on Second Life. Transposing its atmosphere into a virtual world, with all the fantasies that come with this kind of platform, is a perfect occasion to extend the journey in the unique universe of each of the designers that made the shop famous.

More than a simple shop, Les Plus Belles Lunettes Du Monde is the place where you can find information about the designers, their creations and their own universe. Elyseum and Les Plus Belles Lunettes du Monde will be a perfect location for exhibitions of original designs, fashion shows, interviews with fashion designers, or design contests (virtual and real-life creations)...

|  Our Work  |

When designing the SL shop, we took our inspiration from the very specific ambiance of the place. To honour the work quality of Ricardo Navarro, the designer of the real-life shop, we have made several 3D modeling attempts of the architecture and interior design of the boutique.

The boutique, in the heart of Paris, is covered with purple velvet, interspersed with strass, representing the welkin. The Second Life shop literally floats in the air, incrusted with more than 400 shining stars, fixed one by one to illustrate the constellations (will you recognize them ?).

Every designer has its own totem on which are exposed his creations and universe. For each one of them, which shape, color and material makes a unique piece of art, we have paid particular attention in our modeling to match the original design :

First, we needed to find the best textures to perfectly render the material (wood, leather, ivory, alloy). The we work on the frames (diameters, thickness, inclination).

The final rendering of each design is crucial. ConceptSL designers will systematically study the real designs using photo shoots, multi-ambient lights, glasses transparency, etc.
We also pay extra attention to ornaments, which are reproduced and fixed one by one to perfectly match with the original design.

We also use the 2D diagrams and sketches given by the designers. We use the sketches to create a 3D rendering before modeling them in Second Life. You can find above a batch of 3D rendering we have prepared for Ricardo Navarro.

The overall shape of the frames is the first element to be created on Second Life. Everything is prepared meticulously to make sure images will fit perfectly with no distortion. Once the shape is ready, we apply the images that we retouch changing lights and contrats until we obtain the best rendering possible.

We need one full day to model a pair of glasses in Second Life using the real life object.
To reach perfection, ConceptSL designers use the finest creation tools of Second Life, pushing them to their limits.

You can see below the glasses we have reproduced for the fashion designers Ricardo Nava, Stephane Sarnin (Histoire de Voir) and Jerome Morillere (Koali).

Ricardo Navarro
Life, sensuality, art and freedom of creation... all are mixed in Spain, this is where I come from and what touches me. I like to create new eyewear, to emphasize a glance... I invite you to discover a new vision, a latin vision.
Histoire de Voir / Stephane Sarnin
The HISTOIRE DE VOIR collections of sunglasses are derived from noble and natural materials in which they have on thing in common--Leather. Whether it is the entire collection of frames, or the stems of the frames, the leather is incorporated into each piece with attention to detail through a blending of precise technology and craftsmen's knowledge.
Koali / Jerome Morillere

Nature is an inexhaustible brainwave. Jerome Morillere, the brand creator, understands it when he uses a butterfly image to create a frame. Koali is a fluid design female collection with luxurious colors breaking the monotony.

Jerome Morillere: Koali is a celebration of the living world, a recall of its strange shapes and its perfect colours.
